Afghan Taliban attack on Pakistan, Army Chief warns Afghanistan
Afghan Taliban attack on Pakistan, Army Chief warns Afghanistan: There is a high possibility that the operations will intensify in the coming days. The IBOs being conducted, the intelligence-based operations, will also increase in number and the procedures for them will also increase. Earlier, we had seen that drones were being used in different places. That technology will also be used and the forces that are there will go to all levels, I think.
There have been some incidents in recent days that have caused a lot of concern, and this activity has taken place when we look at the Army Chief's meeting with political leaders. One thing I would definitely like to say is that earlier, the political parties were watching all this from a distance, so they did not have that much responsibility. Now, by sitting here and talking in a meeting, at least they will have a responsibility.
When they make any statement in this regard, they will definitely remember that they too took them into confidence and all this is being done by the Afghan Taliban and the situation has also been put before them. And especially, the terrorists have touched some sensitive points in the southern part of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and they have been taken into confidence on this too, so now that there will be a big change in their behavior,
And it will be that all the stakeholders will be on the same page, just like the Swat operation was successful, so now these operations will also come under so much criticism, in my opinion, at least these political parties will be bound to talk about it.

You have been watching all the issues related to terrorism for a long time. Do you think the Army Chief's visit to Peshawar will further accelerate it?
Actually, it started after August 2021 when Kabul became active and we were feeling its spillover and effect here within this region and the previous government setup said that these militants would be brought here, so it was confusion, the effects of which we are seeing today. This visit of the Army Chief can actually be divided into two parts.
One was his operational perspective in which he met the young soldiers who went to the field and took their input and then the briefing he was given here. Our data is saying that the situation that existed in 2009-10 is once again emerging, especially as I, Jan Babar Sahib, also mentioned in the southern districts and it is continuously increasing in its spread and in the next two to three months we will see this spread in Malakand and other regions as well. So in one sense, the war has come to a head.
The other is that this The purpose was to take the political leadership into confidence, especially in the context of the perception that a major operation is going to take place in which people will be displaced. So, Army Chief Sharif said that these will be targeted operations, just like the counter operations that are being carried out, but the issue of ownership has been raised. It is obvious that by ownership, he meant the same thing as in 20089, the way the PPP and the Awami National Party went ahead and took over the operations.
Unfortunately, what should have happened was that the Prime Minister himself came, which Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpoz also mentioned, but it seems that the Army Chief decided to do this himself so that he could be directly taken into confidence. The confusion here is that the PTI's point of view regarding Talibanization or the allegations that have been made against them in the past, the police, which is currently facing serious command and control problems, we are seeing that the police personnel themselves have been confined to their police stations, the government rate is eroding. But after the security forces clear control, the civilian is above the governance but we are seeing
that these days you also saw that the same police personnel are used to attack Islamabad when the priorities are this and the same Chief Minister is seen sitting with the Army Chief. I think there is still a lot of confusion in this which is a policy. Baba Sahib, you will say that the Army Chief has said in a meeting with the political leadership that there is a difference with Afghanistan on spreading terrorism inside Pakistan. Should there be any action? What do you think about engagement with Afghanistan because India is also engaging with Afghanistan?
Yes, see one thing is that Afghanistan has taken Pakistan's words seriously and the recent steps it has taken also indicate that the Afghan Taliban itself realizes that they are not living with Pakistan as a good neighbor. They have tried to establish the TTP in some remote provinces, which is in the eastern part of our Afghanistan. If they are present in the provinces, they should be removed from there and they are trying to settle them in Ghazni and Zagan. They realize that this is a problem.
And because of this, their friends all over the world are angry with them that they are not proving to be a good neighbor. So Pakistan's strategy is also right to put that diplomatic pressure and they have also sent their delegation to Pakistan.
And but they have demanded from Pakistan that they should be lenient at the borders and that they should ease the visa for them. The people who are there should come here. So this is a very difficult task that they have asked from Pakistan. And they want that the people who are currently living below the poverty line in Afghanistan, who are 97 percent of the population, should get some relief because the Afghan Taliban are not getting the money they need from the world, so they are not able to handle these people.
So they are adopting that strategy for this. However, Pakistan's strategy It is better to see that Pakistan has not shown much serious concern over the recent contact between India and Afghanistan and they have not taken it very seriously. But this is one way to talk to them and engage their friends. Those friends who are common friends of Afghanistan and us, all this is possible through them. Otherwise, what you talked about is not for those who are concerned.
Because there is a government of a group there, which is the Taliban, and there is the entire society there. It is not that you will take a jirga of the society from here and make them all sit there. This is the point, Fakhar Sahib. I was trying to take this to you. What Mahmood Jan Babar Sahib is saying is being said by Afghanistan.
If some leniency is shown, what will happen to them in the state?
What is being done and the determination to uproot terrorism is being shown and we are seeing that anti-terrorism operations are being carried out against Fitnat al-Khawarij every day, so on this stage, will it be possible for the state to be a little more lenient in the demands being made by Afghanistan? Some of them, some of you, understand that some of them are not.
because he calls the TTP refugees, he was also dealing with them. He was taking positive steps to a large extent. This was the whole planning that I pointed out to Jan Babar Sahib that he would be settled down in Ghazni for negotiations. Khalil Haqqani Sahib had an upper hand over the TTP. I think that with his death, Kabul and Islamabad's peace efforts have suffered a great setback. As far as the facilities are concerned, Pakistan has been doing this from time to time and has also been giving them deals, which sometimes puts pressure on the refugees, sometimes they get taken away, but it will depend on Kabul's response to what extent it progresses.

Obviously, there are millions of Afghan refugees and out of them, there are millions who were brought here and the West had promised that we would adjust them in our countries.

Kabul's response will be very important, final comment
Sir, as Khel Sahib proudly said, it is very important that if any pressure increases on Pakistan, then Pakistan will have only one thing to do, that is, it can take a decision regarding the 4 million Afghan refugees registered and unregistered with it, and it will not be that easy. This will not be acceptable to the Afghan government, which currently has Afghan refugees living in Pakistan waiting for Afghans, and the rest of them,
those who are apart from the Taliban. It will not be acceptable for them to go to such a level, to go with any country, to enter into any arrangement that will create problems for Pakistan. They can see this problem in Pakistan because Pakistan knows that these 4 million people who are here do not want to go to Afghanistan, who are sitting in Afghan Taliban. It has happened that this operation against them will continue with full force.
