On Thursday, Israeli forces launched a series of missile attacks on the capital Sanaa, and in the western city of Hodeidah, killing at least six people and injuring many others according to statements released by Iran-back Houthis, vowing to retaliate.
Reports say that at least three persons lost their lives and another 30 were left injured after a strike was carried out at Sanaa International Airport. Director-General of the World Health Organization Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said he was just about to board a flight when bombardment started in the Sanaa International Airport.
"As we were at the very brink of boarding our flight from Sanaa… the airport was attacked aerially. One of our crew members is injured," said Ghebreyesus, speaking for a statement adding the whole crew of Ghebreyesus is safe.
The air traffic control tower, the departure lounge—just a few meters from where we were—and the runway were damaged. He added that we will need to wait for the airport to be repaired before we can leave.
At least three people were killed and ten others were wounded in the attack on Hodeidah, reported the Houthi-run al-Masirah television further west of Sanaa. The strikes hit the ports of Hodeidah and Ras Issa, and the Ras Kutub power station in Hodeidah Governorate, the Houthis added.

Tremblay said the damage assessment will be done on Friday morning to determine whether the WHO chief and the U.N. team can leave Yemen.
U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres condemned the escalation in attacks between Yemen and Israel and described Thursday's attacks as "especially alarming," Tremblay said.
Israel's army later told The Associated Press it wasn't aware that the WHO chief or delegation was at the location in Yemen.
The Israeli airstrikes came after days of Houthi launches that triggered siren alarms in Israel, according to the Israeli army. They attacked infrastructure facilities used by the Iran-backed Houthis at the international airport in Sanaa and ports in Hodeida, Al-Salif, and Ras Qantib, power stations- which they say are being used to smuggle Iranian weapons and for entry points of senior Iranian officials.
Israel's military added that it had "capabilities to strike very far from Israel's territory — precisely, powerfully, and repetitively."

An unconfirmed media report in Yemen claims that the Israeli air force launched strikes against Sanaa International Airport, now under the control of the Houthi group in the capital of Yemen.
Media houses also report airstrikes targeting the seaport city of Hodeida.
No other information is available, nor has there been any statement from Israel or the Houthi confirming the report. Israeli sources reported that several media outlets that the IDF is carrying out airstrikes against the Houthis in response to the terror group backed by Iran's recent missile and drone attacks on the country.
The airstrike, according to reports, happened during a speech delivered by Houthi leader Abdul-Malik al-Houthi.
Israeli officials have stated that they will target the Houthis after the Iran-backed terror group recently escalated their attacks on Israel.
