The day's proceedings kicked off with host Ali Plumb inviting Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy to join him in reflecting on the success of the Disney+ original series Star Wars: Andor. They were joined by the series' director, creator, and showrunner Tony Gilroy, as well as cast members Diego Luna, Adria Arjona,
Kyle Soller, Denise Gough, Genevieve O'Reilly, Andy Serkis, Muhannad Bahair, and Joplin Sibtain with his droid B2EMO. The audience was treated to an exclusive preview of the second and final season, which is currently in production and follows Cassian Andor's journey as he works to build a resistance. Moving on to the highly anticipated Star Wars series, Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni announced that Ahsoka, starring Rosario Dawson in the titular role, will debut on Disney+ in August 2023. The series is set after the fall of the Empire and follows Ahsoka Tano, a former Jedi knight, as she investigates a new threat to the galaxy.
Co-stars Natasha Liu Bordizzo, who portrays Sabine Wren, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead, who announced her role as Hera Syndulla, joined Dawson onstage. The presentation concluded with a teaser trailer for the series, written by Filoni, who serves as executive producer alongside Favreau, Kennedy, Wilson, and Beck. The focus then shifted to feature films, with Kennedy honoring the work of Neal Scanlan, an Oscar-winning Creature and Special Makeup Effects Supervisor. A multitude of his most famous creations was showcased onstage.

Kennedy made exciting announcements about the future of Star Wars during the event, revealing that there will be a new feature film set 15 years after the last events of the Skywalker Saga.
Director Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy will direct this film, which will focus on the rebuilding of the New Jedi Order and the powers that seek to destroy it. Fans were thrilled when Kennedy welcomed Daisy Ridley, who will reprise her role as Rey in the movie.
Additionally, Kennedy announced that James Mangold will direct a film that delves into the past, exploring the story of the first Jedi who harnessed the Force as a liberating power during a time of chaos and oppression.

For storytelling set in the present, Dave Filoni will lead a cinematic event that explores the escalating war between the Imperial Remnant and the fledgling New Republic. Favreau will produce the film, which will bring together many of the threads from the Star Wars original series.
